Below are the civil and criminal penalties for writing a bad check under Oklahoma Statutes Citationized - Title 21. If the check value is less than Five Hundred Dollars, the person who wrote the bounced check shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine not to exceed One Thousand Dollars or sent to the county jail for not more than one year, or by both fine and imprisonment at the option of the court.

If the bogus check was written in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars or more but less than One Thousand Dollars, any person convicted shall be guilty of a felony and be punished by being imprisoned in the county jail for no more than one year, or at the discretion of the judge be sent to the county jail for a period of one or more nights or weekends, and shall be subject to a fine of not more than Five Thousand Dollars and ordered to provide restitution to the person that received the bad check.

If the bounced check value was One Thousand Dollars or more, any person convicted shall be guilty of a felony and will be imprisoned in the State Penitentiary for a term of up to ten years, or by a fine not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars, or by both the fine and imprisonment.
